Celebrating Indigenous Women Elders

With the passing of Jawoyn Elder Mama Margaret Katherine, beloved elder who walked life with the most open, generous and compassionate heart, in the face of so much suffering and challenge, sharing traditional knowledge and the spirit of her Joy with so many across and beyond Australia, I want to acknowledge and honour Indigenous women for their ongoing resilience and powerful role in keeping culture - ensuring safe passage of sacred knowledge throughout Time.

Sitting with the Grandmothers and the women of their communities, and learning to listen, is one of the greatest gifts in my journey as a woman.
